My 1st charcoal portrait, also my 1st self portrait š... Working with charcoal is very interesting and stress relieving too. There was a span of almost 17yrs in my life that I couldn't give time to art but then one day while organising and cleaning my store, I found soft black charcoal in my old, long lost art supply's box. I felt an urge to smuge and feel the softness of the charcoal on a sheet and as I did that, I felt so myself again. This self portrait was the return of the artist in me. I realised that my skill was still alive, which was actually a surprise for me. I am thankful to God for this talent along with all the other blessings that I've been blessed with. š
